Duct Sealing
Realize Peak HVAC Performance
Duct Sealing by Pacific AirCare
Due to size alone, heating and cooling requirements are far greater than those of a typical home.
This includes the complexity of your ductwork. Commercial heating and cooling systems are connected to various areas throughout your facility by ductwork, which consists of a network that provides for the transfer of heated or cooled air from your furnace, air conditioner, heat pump, or boiler to inside areas of your facility. All conditioned air travels through ducts. Broken seals, detached pipes, loose sections, or damaged ducts result in air leaks. That means a loss of energy and money.
Does Your Ductwork Need Sealing?
There are telltale signs when your ductwork has developed leaks. They include:
- Temperature’s that are too hot or cold for the season: Often, the conditioned air is escaping through developed problems in the ductwork before reaching areas meant to be treated (heated or cooled) by the HVAC system.
- Inconsistency: It becomes almost impossible to maintain a constant temperature in occupied and treated areas.
- Poor Indoor Air Quality: When there’s an increase in dust and particulates throughout your indoor air, it is often a sign of broken seals or leaks within the ductwork. These leaks let your system pull in dust and other contaminants into the ductwork, which then distributes the contaminated air throughout your indoor areas.
- Increased Energy Costs: Leaks result in substantial loss of energy, resulting in increased heating and cooling bills. It takes more energy to heat or cool your space when the treated air is escaping through compromised ductwork before reaching its intended destination.
Increased Comfort, Decreased Energy Costs
